One of the ways to go contactless is to get your doorlocks online and enable digital key. Aruba is partnering with major doorlock vendors to enable their doorlocks to communicate through our access points and hence eliminate the need to deploy an overlay network which adds costs.
The deployment of panic buttons for staff safety also require an overlay network of BLE gateways. With Aruba infrastructure, we eliminate that overlay network cost but allowing the panic buttons to relay bluetooth communications with our access points.
Aruba IOT-enabled infrastructure enable additional use cases such as luggage tracking and asset tracking that uses BLE to communicate with Aruba access points to pinpoint location. It also enables WiFi-base inventory management using pressure plates to enable hotels to know exactly what stocks to replenish.
